Hello!
So this is my VERY FIRST blog...so bare with me!
As many of you know, my husband and I are building a house! This is actually something we attempted to do 2 years ago...but the economy fell apart, as did our loan! So, after 2 somewhat bumpy years financially, we are back on our feet and the building has begun!
I stared this blog because I really wanted to have a place to share some of my ideas. As wonderful as it is to be building a house, it is STRESSFUL! You find yourself obsessing over the smallest, most trivial things. Like where to put light switches, what color mortar goes best with my brick color, and soo many more! I have never notice the shoe molding in someone's house until I had to pick it for my own! Needless to say I am enjoying the process! SO...here is what I have so far.
This is the artist sketch of our house:
And this is where we are so far!
This week we have the brick going on the outside so I will update that when its finished!
As for the inside here is what we have so far:
The cabinets we have chosen are called Antique Smoke and I love them!
The cabinet color is pretty dark, and our floors will be dark as well so Im thinking a lighter granite will help to brighten things up! Maybe this one? Its called Santa Cecilia.
Am I headed in the right direction??
