30 Weeks and Chubby Cheeks!

Wow! Im in the 30's now!! I'm actually 30 weeks today too! In about 9 weeks (hopefully) we will actually get to hold our little baby boy! Since Im super impatient and needed to see our baby sooner, Josh and I went to the special u/s place and got a 3D picture session! The first thing we noticed was his cheeks! I can't believe how chubby they are ALREADY!! My Dad said he looks like he is ready to come out now haha! Here are some of the pics!

His little foot is up by his head in this pic. We think he has Josh's little nose :) Im hoping he gets his big blue eyes too ;)

He has such cute lips already! Nice and plump! :)

After the ultrasound we both couldn't stop looking at the pictures and smiling! He is just so cute! I really didn't think we would be able to distinguish any features this soon but it was so cool that we could! We went home and started looking at each of our baby pics to see if we saw any similarities.  I think these pictures confirm what everyone is already thinking...he might be a big baby!  Im ok with that as long as he is not over 8 lbs! Here is what  he looks like from the outside!

Nice round belly!

The bare belly! Still no stretch marks but a  nice linea nigra and a funny looking belly button!!

*How far along?: 30 weeks!

*Total weight gain?: None this week but 30 total!! :/

  *How big is baby?: 17 inches long and around 3.5lbs!

*Sex: Sweet Baby Boy!

*Maternity clothes: Sick of them.

*Stretch marks: NO!

*Sleep: Actually really good this week! :)

*Symptoms: I started having some minor hip/groin pain last night...guess things are loosening up!

*Movement: Oh yeah..I think he likes to stretch out a lot now, at least while he still can!

*Food cravings: Chocolate milk!

*Labor signs: Still nothing, wondering if and when Ill get some BH's

*Belly button in or out: Still flat..but the edge kinda pokes out in a tight shirt...weird!

*What I miss: Wearing my wedding rings :( And cute shoes...

*What I'm looking forward to: Bedding getting here....

*Best moment of the week: Getting the 3D u/s done. It was amazing and makes me that much more excited to meet out little boy! :)

29 Weeks!

Wow! Almost in the 30's! Im really starting to get excited and Im SOO ready to not be pregnant anymore! I think Josh is ready for me to not be pregnant too :) Josh is getting excited about having the baby too. Its cute to hear him say things like "I can't wait to take Brett skiing" or to white water, etc....although these things won't happen for a few years. I feel very blessed to have a husband who will be such a hands on dad! He is great with babies and has an endless amount of patience! I'm thinking I might need to borrow some of that since my supply is kinda short :)

*How far along?: 29 weeks!

*Total weight gain?:+ .5lbs this week

  *How big is baby?: 15.5 inches long and around 3lbs!

*Sex: Sweet Baby Boy!

*Maternity clothes: Yup and I have moved up in sizes too! Great...

*Stretch marks: I have a small one on the very bottom of my belly next to my appendicitis scar. It look like its part of the scar and not very noticeable so I'm cool with that. Still none anywhere else! :)

*Sleep: Starting to get harder. I am now waking up 2 times a night to go to the bathroom and I wake up every time I roll over cause it kinda hurts. I wake up on my back sometimes with numb hands and have to move. :/

*Movement: Yup! I still love it!

*Food cravings: Chocolate milk!

*Labor signs: Nope...I still haven't had ANY Braxton/Hicks and I asked the Dr. and she said thats fine.

*Belly button in or out: Still flat..but the edge kinda pokes out in a tight shirt...weird!

*What I miss: Being able to get up when leaning back....I have to roll to the side to get up off the couch....or have someone pull me up.

*What I'm looking forward to: 3D U/S Wednesday! Bedding coming in this week and FINALLY painting the nursery this weekend.

*Best moment of the week: Nothing too exciting this week

My First Baby Shower

This weekend my SIL threw me my first shower!! It was a lot of fun and we got a great start for little baby Brett! Here are some pics from Saturday:

I realized after the fact, that this dress makes me look HUGE! a) because its a dress and dresses make me look large anyways and b) the print makes it impossible to see where things start and stop! Haha- oh well I am pregnant after all :)

 

My sweet SIL who gave me the shower. We all wore Lei's and whenever someone said "baby" you could take their lei. Same concept as the clothing pins. :)

Everyone had to make a "hula skirt" That would fit around my belly!

Josh's skirt was very close...we are kinda the same size now haha!

*How far along?: 28 weeks! Finally in the 3rd Trimester!

*Total weight gain?: None this week! Its slowed down a ton but thats fine! Im already at 30lbs total :/ I did notice that my watch no longer fits on my wrist- Apparently I am holding A LOT of water and I am going to ask the Dr. about this Monday.

  *How big is baby?: over 15 inches long and around 2 and 3/4 lbs!

*Sex: Sweet Baby Boy!

*Maternity clothes: Yup and I have moved up in sizes too! Great...

*Stretch marks: NO!!! Thank goodness :)

*Sleep: Still good! Just waking up every time  I roll over but I go right back to sleep...as long as baby B doesn't wake up too :)

*Movement: Oh yes! I feel him moving all the time not just kicking...sometimes I think he is an octopus!

*Food cravings: Nothing really this week...I don't have much room for food these days.

*Labor signs: Nope

*Belly button in or out: Still flat..but the edge kinda pokes out in a tight shirt...weird!

*What I miss: My feet not hurting. They hurt from the time they hit the floor in the morning and are always swollen by the end of the day!

*What I'm looking forward to: Getting the bedding in soon, and starting to organize the nursery.

*Best moment of the week: My shower and taking the L&D tour! It was so exciting to see where it will all happen! We even saw some sweet babies in the nursery! It made me sooo excited to have our little boy. I think I am officially over being pregnant and just want to have our baby! Not much longer now! :)

27 Weeks

*How far along?: 27 weeks! Finally in the 3rd Trimester!

*Total weight gain?: +2lbs  this week! I think he had a growth spurt because I was very active this week! I played tennis Saturday (and won!) and walked a LOT! I was sooo sore Sunday!

  *How big is baby?: 15 inches long and over 2 lbs!

*Sex: Sweet Baby Boy!

*Maternity clothes: Yes- I went and bought some more stuff for work this weekend and actually fell like I look "nice" at work now :)

*Stretch marks: I think I have  very small one below my underwear line...but thats ok! So far everything else is nice and smooth :)

*Sleep: Good! I have added more pillows and I think Im taking up Josh's side a little too :)

*Movement: Oh yeas! I feel him moving all the time not just kicking...sometimes I think he is an octopus!

*Food cravings: Still love ice cream, and anything cold! I really LOVE my Cocoa Krispies in the morning with ice cold milk!

*Labor signs: Nope

*Belly button in or out: Still flat

*What I miss:  Being able to get on and off the floor easily...we put the crib together and it was very hard to get down there and to get up haha!

*What I'm looking forward to: My first shower Saturday!!

*Best moment of the week: The crib came and we put it together!

26 Weeks..a little late

This is the only pic I have this week...I prefer to be on the other side of the camera lately and didn't get any of myself this 4th of July!

Notice the darker hair? I got tired of the highlights and went back to my roots! :)

We had a GREAT weekend! We rented a house at the lake with 18 of our friends!  It was so much fun. We got a TON of food at Costco for the weekend and ate like Kings and Queens! The weather couldn't have been nicer....high's in the 80s with almost NO humidity! We spent our days floating in the lake and tubing (not me) on the boat. Unfortunately the boat is off limits for me at this point...well unless we are going for a nice evening cruise, which we were not! :)

We even had our own professional fire works show! (Well maybe not professional but better than most amateurs on the 4th!) Saturday morning, some of the guys went to SC to get some "real" fireworks! They put on a great show and everyone near our house enjoyed it as well!

Somehow I managed to get plenty of rest over the weekend, despite being in a house with 17 people staying up late and "celebrating" America's Birthday! Thank goodness for ear plugs! :)

Week 26 update!

*How far along?: 26 weeks! Last week in the 2nd Trimester!

*Total weight gain?: -.5  this week! How I have no clue!

  *How big is baby?: 15 inches long and 2 lbs!

*Sex: Sweet Baby Boy!

*Maternity clothes: Yes- I am so ready for regular clothes!

*Stretch marks: I think I have  very small one below my underwear line...but thats ok! So far everything else is nice and smooth :)

*Sleep: Sill pretty good...I wake up when I roll over and I have to keep  a pillow under my belly to support my back

*Movement:All the time! Josh found his foot or leg and was pushing it and he was going crazy! His moving kinda hurts sometimes!

*Food cravings: Still loving ice cream :)

*Labor signs: Nope...but I have been feeling "achy" in my Uterus...I guess its stretching again!

*Belly button in or out: Kind of flat, but still an innie...I don't think it will "pop out" but I do have 3 months to go!

*What I miss:  Cute clothes...I really want to be able to wear a romper..I love those! I hope they are in next summer :)

*What I'm looking forward to: Painting the nursery this weekend and the bedding arriving! Hopefully soon!

*Best moment of the week: Ordering the crib!

Today will be a day of blogging silence in support of Megan at In This Wonderful Life, as she and her husband hold the memorial service for their little baby Cohen.
