Weekend Update and 15 weeks

This weekend was so nice! On Friday night we went to dinner with my friend MrsSouthernBelle and her husband and new baby boy! It was great to see her and her baby since I have not been able to spend any time with her lately! I got some practice holding a baby too....and I need a lot of that. I did really well at first but, later on he got fussy and nothing would  calm him down except his mamma! My husband  got a chance to hold him too! Josh is so god with babies, he has a lot of nieces and a nephew that he has been able to practice with. I love seeing him with a baby, its so sweet!

On Saturday Josh and I went to Home Depot and bought a bunch of flowers to plant in our front yard. I got some petunias and marigolds and planted them on either side of our front walkway.  Josh picked out 2 rose bushes and we planted thouse near our front steps. The type of roses we got are called Knock Out Roses...not sure why but hopefully mine will look like the above picture!

Saturday night Josh and I had a date night (we hadn't done that in a while!) We grabbed some dinner and went to see "Death at a Funeral"OMG that movie is HILARIOUS! If you haven't seen I really recommend you do! I was screaming I was laughing so hard.

Friday also marked 15 weeks!

*How far along?: 15 weeks 

*Total weight gain?:Up 1.5 lbs in the last 2 weeks...happy that the weight gain is starting to get more steady...and slower :)

*How big is baby?: 4.5 inches!The size of an Avacado

*Sex:  Still think boy...but thinking of girl names to be prepared

*Maternity clothes:Oh yes......I think I need more....

*Stretch marks: Nope...just ordered more Mamma Mio!

*Sleep:Good....dreaming some weird stuff though

*Movement:I think so! I felt 3 different sensations over the weekend....a poke, a twitch and a flutter. I dont know what else that could be!

*Food cravings: Still pasta, fruit, and hearty stuff. The though/site of grilled chicken makes me want to vomit.

*Labor signs: Nope

*Belly button in or out: Still in but looking a little more shallow these days! I used to never be able to see in it and now I can haha!

*What I miss: Nothing now..I finally look pregnant and not fat :)

*What I'm looking forward to: Saturday!! We find out the sex!

Best moment of the week: Feeling a flutter!

Beach Trip and 14 weeks!

This weekend I went to the beach in Seagrove, FL for a Bachelorette Party weekend! We went down on Thursday and came home Sunday...a short trip but still a ton of fun! I was (obviously) the designated driver for the weekend. It was interesting being the only one not enjoying a cold one by the beach, but its easy not to knowing that I have a good reason!

My camera died right when I got there so I did not get any pics but, my friend Allison was nice enough to take my 14 week pic with the ocean in the background!

This is the first time in my life I have NOT worn a 2 piece at the beach! I read that sun is not good for your skin if you want to prevent stretch marks PLUS my belly looks a little beer-bellyish so I thought I would keep it covered with a cute tankini :) So I now have a white torso and brown arms and legs haha! Oh well hopefully my sun hiatus will keep my stomach skin smooth and stretch mark free!

14 week Update!

*How far along?: 14 weeks 

*Total weight gain?: 11?...I refuse to weigh myself after the girls weekend :)

*How big is baby?: 3.5 inches!The size of a lime

*Sex:  Still think boy..but my dreams are confusing me...a little over a week til we know for sure!

*Maternity clothes: Yup...although Old Navy stuff fits well even if it isn't maternity. I also am SOO glad to have found some decent shorts at JC Penny.

*Stretch marks: Nope but I do have a faint Linea Nigra below my belly button

*Sleep: Great!

*Movement:Not yet, but still trying really hard to feel something...maybe next week?

*Food cravings: Still Frosty's or anything cold like ice cream..but I am resisting pretty well

*Labor signs: Nope...but the round ligament pains have started.

*Belly button in or out: Still in but looking a little more shallow these days! I used to never be able to see in it and now I can haha!

*What I miss: Wearing a cute bathing suit

*What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex on the 24th!

Best moment of the week: Being able to stay up until midnight! I actually feel "normal" again and not exhausted all the time!

13 weeks and Easter!

Im finally in to the 2nd trimester! It is really going by fast! The bump is a little hard to see in this pic but it was from Easter so I though it was festive :)

 I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I really think Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love the church services on Easter with the brass, all of the beautiful Easter lilies and of course the Hallelujah Chorus! 

I had to sing at the 8am service this year and my Mom, husband and Granddaddy came to hear me.

This time next year we will have a cute little baby to dress in Easter clothes! :) Its hard to believe that in 6 months we will have a baby! Im getting very excited to find out the sex....I keep thinking boy but Josh is still thinking girl. 2 1/2 weeks and we will know!

*Total weight gain?: Well I lost 2 last week....dont know how! And then gained one this week :)

*How big is baby?: 3 inches!

*Sex:  Still think boy...we find out the 24th!

*Maternity clothes:All pants...I have been on a hunt for cute maternity shorts and succeeded with Old Navy and JC Penny

*Stretch marks: Nope

*Sleep: Great!

*Movement:Not yet, but trying really hard to feel something

*Food cravings: Frostys :)

*Labor signs: N/A

*Belly button in or out: Still in.

*What I miss:Nothing at the moment
*What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex on the 24th

Best moment of the week: We saw a profile on last weeks u/s! So cute! It was asleep and the nurse shook my belly and it rolled over and put its hands in the air...so amazing!
