Half Way There!!!

This is what my belly looked like at 10 weeks! Big change!

20 WEEKS! I cant believe we are half through already! I have been lucky and had a really easy pregnancy so far! Although..I have been getting sciatic nerve pain on my left side this week! :( And there is nothing that can be done! But, the Dr. said that as the baby gets bigger and grows out of the pelvis, the pressure will let up. Floating in the pool is very helpful though!

We had our 20 week appt on Thursday and Baby B is looking perfect!  We saw all his organs and arms, legs, hands and feet! He was quite the wiggle worm and the u/s tech had to really try hard to get his profile picture....but she got it! And OMG he looks like his daddy! I keep staring at the picture thinking about getting to meet him soon!

*How far along?: 20 weeks 

*Total weight gain?: Up 1 pound this week...and none from the week before

*How big is baby?: 10 inches long and weighing about 10 oz (a little more than 1/2 lb) The size of a banana

*Maternity clothes:Yup all pants and shorts and some shirts. I am able to wear some normal skirts like the one in the 20 week pic.

*Stretch marks: Nope. I am using the Oil at night and Coco butter throughout the day!

*Sleep: Great!

*Movement: Yes! I have started feeling "kicks" now! Still some fluttering but he gets a good kick in there every now and then too!

*Food cravings: Ice cream/yogurt/smoothies anything cold and creamy!

*Labor signs: Nope

*Belly button in or out: Still in, but shallow and funny looking.

*What I miss: My energy has slowed a bit.....I get more tired working out now, but still do it! :)

*What I'm looking forward to: Maybe doing a 3D U/S in a few months?

Best moment of the week: Our 20 week appt and knowing that everything is perfect with the baby!

What day did you find out you were pregnant?: Sunday, January 31, 2010
How did you feel when you found out?: Shocked! Thrilled! Soooo happy!
Who was with you?: No one! Josh was on his way home and I had to sit there alone for 20 minutes!! Very Hard!
How did the daddy react?: He was shocked too! He said "No way!" But then he had a HUGE smile!

How did your family react?: They were shocked and SOOOO excited!!!
How did his parents react?: His mom screamed and the cried! She was happy!
How often do they call to check on you?: ALL the time at first...but not as much now. My mom more than his. She calls to ask "Any movement today?" Haha


-About the pregnancy:
When is your due date?: October 8, 2010
How far along are you right now?: 19 weeks and 6 days
Have you had an ultra sound?: Actually we have had 5! Including the special place to see the sex. We had 2 at my GYN to confirm pregnancy, 1 in Colorado because of a scare,  1  at the OB at 12 weeks and the gender place at 16 weeks! AND we have the 20 week scan today!!
Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes, I love it every time!


-Sex of the baby:
What do you want. Boy or Girl?: I would be happy with either.
Do you know what you are having now?: BOY!!!!!
Are you happy with what you are having?: Of course! Josh has g nieces and only 1 nephew so we need some more boys!!!

-About the birth:
Who is going to be with you?:  Josh and the doc
Are you going to video tape it?: Well, maybe the after part but not during.
Natural or medicated?: Give me the drugs!! Haha I do want to go as long as I can without them though!
Do you think you will have a c-section?: I hope not, I really want to be able to do it myself.
Do you think you will cry when you first hold your baby?:Oh yeah! I cry when I see the ultrasound!
Do you know what you will say to the baby when you first hold it?: Something like "Hi baby!" and of course "I love you"!
Are you scared about the labor?: Kind of...but every women goes through it and survives! :)


-Names:
Do you have a name picked out?: Yup! Joshua BRETT Bonner Jr. (I hate Jr but I guess thats the way it has to be!) We will call him Brett. Josh thinks Brett Bonner is a good sports name and I do too!
Is your baby going to be named after anyone?: His Daddy! :)
Did the daddy help pick the name?: Oh yes, its his name!

Where was your baby conceived?: At home...
Have you felt the baby move?: Yes, and I love it! I felt the first "kick" yesterday!
What was your first symptom?: I was so bloated and HOT!!! And the night before I found out I had to pee TWICE in the middle of the night! Big red flag for me!
Will you have godparents?:Dont think so...but maybe honorary ones for our Catholic friends! :)
What is the babys room theme?: Not sure yet..I do love puppies though!
Are you ready to be a mommy?: I think so! Ready or not Im going to be one!

18 weeks!

 

*How far along?: 18 weeks 

*Total weight gain?:Up 2lbs  this week....yikes! I am thinking about NOT weighing myself anymore...its kind of scary. My husband has LOST as much as Ive gained! haha!

*How big is baby?: 6 inches! The size of a Mango

*Maternity clothes: Yes...although I am disappointed in the "nice" clothes they have. I always feel frumpy and want to look nice when I go to work. There are nice clothes out there but I cannot justify spending $80 on a shirt!

*Stretch marks: Still none! I switched to the Mamma Mio Oil now...its very oily but leaves your skin very smooth and moisturized! :)

*Sleep:Still great! I am having some crazy dreams still...last night I dreamed I birthed a baby with one foot! I know for a fact he has 2 feet, we saw it on the u/s! :)

*Movement: Yes! Its very faint and sporadic but I love it! :) It is still flutter-like so no kicks yet. In anxious to fell more!!

*Food cravings:ICE CREAM! Dangerous I know but I love that its cold and creamy!

*Labor signs: Nope

*Belly button in or out: Still in, but shallow and funny looking.

*What I miss: Shopping at any store...Im very limited now and have to be creative!

*What I'm looking forward to:  Seeing Baby B at my 20 week anatomy scan!

Best moment of the week: Crib shopping with Josh and getting fabrics picked out for the crib bedding/curtains! Here are the ones I like...not sure how they will go together yet but Im narrowing down!

17 Weeks!

Im almost half way there! I was really busy last week and did not do a 16 week post :( But we did get some exciting news......Its A BOY!! We went to a special U/S place and our whole family was allowed to come in the room. They project the U/S image on the wall like a movie so everyone could see the baby! It was so special for everyone to see! Here are some pics!

*How far along?: 17 weeks 

*Total weight gain?:Up .5 lbs  this week....finally slowing down a bit :) My appetite has not been AS big as it has been so maybe thats why?

*How big is baby?: 5.5 inches! The size of an Onion

 

*Sex:  BOY!!! I knew it! :)

*Maternity clothes: Yup! I had been wearing a lot of non-pregnancy shirts, but they are now getting a little short :) I am loving long tanks from Old Navy and long dresses are great too! I just got theses this weekend:

*Stretch marks: Still none! I switched to the Mamma Mio Oil now...its very oily but leaves your skin very smooth and moisturized! :)

*Sleep: Awesome! I actually did not get up to go to the bathroom all week!

*Movement: Yes! Its very faint and sporadic but I love it! :) It is still flutter-like so no kicks yet. Also, my placenta is in the front and I read that this can muffle movements.

*Food cravings: Still pasta, fruit, and hearty stuff. The though/site of grilled chicken makes me want to vomit.

*Labor signs: Nope

*Belly button in or out: Still in, but shallow and funny looking.

*What I miss: Shopping at any store...Im very limited now and have to be creative!

*What I'm looking forward to: Baby Showers!

Best moment of the week: Starting my Baby Registry! It was a little over whelming but thanks to MrsSouthernBelle I got some good help with what is good and what isn't!
